Battered & Abused Women's Help
SERVICES OFFERED TO VICTIMS/SURVIVORS OF MASSACHUSETTS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INCLUDE: 24-hour Crisis Hotline, assistance with the judicial process, free transportation, legal referrals, counseling and court advocacy, help on the fight against violence against women, housing assistance, child care, assistance with law enforcement, crisis intervention and short term crisis therapeutics, protection orders, psychological counseling, parenting classes, medical services and referrals, interagency information and referral, employment resources, a safe place for women and children.
There are various forms the ongoing abuse can negatively affect the lives of the abused, like causing depression, low self-esteem, drugs or alcohol abuse, or even worse: suicide. If you or your loved ones are in immediate danger CALL 911 for safety planning and assistance. Also, free or low-cost domestic violence attorneys can help you pursue your legal rights.
