DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HELP

Domestic violence and sexual assault crimes affect the lives of everyone in the community.

In recent years, many more victims are now referred for domestic and sexual violence assistance and demand has steadily risen for the battered and abused women services and programs.

These programs ensure the safety and stability of the lives of survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

Domestic abuse programs have been successful at providing:

victims with emergency shelter, hotlines, and supportive services.
improved response of the criminal justice system to victims of domestic and sexual assault.
increased training for police, court officials and prosecutors.
National task forces to end sexual and domestic violence against women.
